my question is - what would you recommend to use to import live election data from csv (or in emergency scenario - html table) and storing the data?

I am thinking about import intervals of 10 or 15 minutes, for example. I want to store the info in the time intervals to graph it.

Google spreadsheet has the importdata function, but that is insufficient and the official csv uses "pipe" separator, not supported by the gdocs.

thanks, matej

What do you mean by 'live election data'? A single results table that is updated as results come in from electoral wards? Results tables from separate online locations (eg relating to results from distinct wards or regions) that you will be aggregating?

I would recommend ScraperWiki over Google Spreadsheets

scraperwiki also offers option to push to ckan libraries, if you have that hooked up
